Justine Triet

Justine Triet graduated from les Beaux-arts de Paris with the highest honors.

She makes several short films, starting with Sur place (2007), shot during student demonstrations, and Solférino (2008), made during the presidential elections. In 2009, she shoots Des Ombres dans la maison in a Saõ Paulo township. Two Ships, her first medium-length fiction film, wins numerous awards at festivals in France and abroad (EFA European Film Prize at the 2012 Berlinale, Grand Prize at Angers European First Film Festival, Grand Prize at the Belfort Film Festival, shortlisted for the 2013 César for Best Short Film).

Her first feature film Age of Panic is selected at ACID in the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and nominated for the 2014 César in the Best First Film category. Her second feature In Bed with Victoria, opens Critics' Week at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. The film is sold in over 15 territories and nominated for César awards for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor for Vincent Lacoste and Melvil Poupaud and Best Actress for Virginie Efira.

In 2019, she directs Sybil, presented in Competition at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

Her latest film, Anatomy of a Fall, wins the Palme d'Or at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. It is awarded 2 Golden Globe Awards and is nominated in 5 categories for the 2024 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Directing. Anatomy of a Fall is a favorite of the 2024 César Academy with 11 nominations and 6 César Awards including Best Film, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.
