Arnaud des Pallières

Arnaud des Pallières was born in Paris in 1961. He began acting as a teenager. He studied literature, then cinema. Shot a dozen short films, including La Mémoire d'un ange (1989), Les Choses Rouges (1993), Diane Wellington (2010). Organizes and films a conference by philosopher Gilles Deleuze: Qu'est-ce que l'acte de création? Shot three "fictional documentary" essays for television: Is Dead (Portrait Incomplet de Gertrude Stein) (2000), Disneyland, mon vieux pays natal (2002), Poussières d'Amérique (2011). Five feature films: Drancy Avenir (1996), Adieu (2003), Parc (2009), Michael Kohlhaas (2013), Orpheline (2017). He is also screenwriter and editor for all his films. In the summer of 2019, Arnaud des Pallières is bringing together Michael Lonsdale, choreographer and dancer Daniel Larrieu, comic book author Bastien Vivès and five young dancers at the Paris Opera to shoot Degas et moi. Produced by the Paris Opera for the 3e Scène, the film paints a portrait of the painter of dancers at two different ages of his life.
