Pierre Salvadori

Born in Tunisia, Pierre Salvadori moves to Paris at the age of seven with his parents. After taking film courses and acting classes with Jacqueline Chabrier, he begins performing in café-Théâtre, before moving on to writing.

In 1989, Pierre Salvadori writes his first film script, which becomes Wild Target four years later. In the meantime, he tries his hand at directing with a short film entitled Ménage.

In 1995, Guillaume Depardieu and François Cluzet are The Apprentices of Pierre Salvadori. The director reunites Marie Trintignant and Guillaume Depardieu in White Lies (1998). In 2000, Pierre Salvadori directs The Sandmen, a film noir in which Serge Riaboukine, as a bar owner, improvises himself as a vigilante. Pierre Salvadori returns to comedy, directing the José Garcia / Daniel Auteuil duo in Après vous (2003), a feature film about the friendship between a restaurant waiter and a depressed man with suicidal tendencies. Three years later, Gad Elmaleh and Audrey Tautou are reunited in the romantic comedy Priceless. In 2010, Pierre Salvadori reunites with Audrey Tautou in Beautiful Lies.

In 2014, his film In the Courtyard brought together Catherine Deneuve and Gustave Kervern, a burlesque and touching tandem who have to deal with the cracks of everyday life.

His film The Trouble with You, which brings together Adèle Haenel, Pio Marmaï, Damien Bonnard, Vincent Elbaz, and Audrey Tautou in a police comedy, is presented at the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes, where it receives the 2018 SACD Prize.

His latest film, The Little Gang, an adventure comedy for children, is released in 2022 and wins the Audience Award at La Baule Film Festival.
