Marie Amachoukeli
Marie Amachoukeli is a director and scriptwriter and graduated from La Fémis. She wrote and co-directed Forbach, Grand Prix at Clermont-Ferrand, C’est gratuit pour les filles, in competition at the 48th Semaine de la Critique and César for best short movie, and Demolition party with Claire Burger.She then directed her first feature film, Party girl. The duo grew with the collaboration of Samuel Theis. This film won the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and many international prizes.Lately, with Vladimir Mavounia Kouka, she co-directed I want Pluto to be a planet again, a cartoon in black and white, made as part of the Canal collection and nominated for a César the same year.In addition, she co-writes with Franco Lolli, Guillaume Gouix, Vincent Mariette and Cyprien Vial among others, and works as a consultant for various production companies and writing workshops, including those of the Atlas and Next Step, in partnership with the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes.
