Hugo Arcier

Hugo Arcier began his career directing visual effects for films by Roman Polanski, Alain Resnais, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and François Ozon. Since 2004, he has been developing plastic and reflective works that meticulously dissect the specificities of 3D computer-generated images and virtual worlds, forming part of a new art form. His artistic work has been presented at numerous festivals (Némo, Elektra...), in group shows at galleries and institutional venues (New Museum, Palais de Tokyo, New Media Art Center of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute...) and in two monographic exhibitions in France: Nostalgie du réel, in 2013 at Le Cube, and Fantômes numériques, in 2016 at Lux Valence. In 2017, he founded the creative studio N°130 specializing in new images used in an artistic context.
