Guillaume Senez

Born in Brussels in 1978, Guillaume Senez is the author of several short films selected in many festivals : Comme une pêche d'enfer, La Quadrature du Cercle, In Our Blood selected at the Cannes Film Festival for the Unifrance Prize for Best Short Film, and U.H.T. nominated for the Magritte du cinéma.

2015 marks the release of his first feature film: Keeper, co-written with David Lambert. The film is nominated for the Louis Delluc Prize for Best First Film. It is also selected for the Locarno, Toronto, Namur, Angers and Rotterdam film festivals. His second feature Our Struggles was presented at Critics' Week in Cannes in 2018, and selected for the César for Best Foreign Film and the César for Best Actor for Romain Duris. The film also collects five Magritte Awards in 2019, including Best Film and Best Director.

Guillaume Senez is also a member of various associations: ARRF (Belgian Association of Film Directors), PRO-SPERE, SABAM and the Film Commission of the Centre du Cinéma de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. Most recently, he directs the short film Mieux que les rois et la gloire (2020).

His next feature film, Une part manquante, is currently in production.
