Arthur Harari
Born in Paris in 1981, Arthur Harari is a French director and screenwriter. In 2005, he directs the short film Des jours de la rue, followed in 2007 by the medium-length film La Main sur la gueule.
In 2015, he shoots his first feature, Dark Inclusion, a film about a hold-up and family revenge in the diamond industry of Antwerp, with Niels Schneider and August Diehl in the lead roles. In 2019, he co-writes Justine Triet's Sibyl. Then, in 2021, he directs Onoda : 10,000 Nights in the Jungle, presented as the opening film of Un Certain Regard at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, and for which he wins the 2021 Louis Delluc Prize and the César for Best Original Screenplay 2022.
He collaborates again with Justine Triet on the writing of her film Anatomy of a Fall, which wins the Palme d'Or at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. It wins 2 Golden Globes awards, the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay, and is nominated in 5 categories for the 2024 Oscars, including Best Picture, and wins the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. The film is nominated 11 times for the César French Film Awards, winning 6 César including Best Film and Best Original Screenplay.
He is preparing his next feature, L'Inconnue, a science-fiction film starring Léa Seydoux.
