Autumn 1917. In the distance, the war is in full swing. In the rear, Camille, a young woman, lives to the rhythm of the news of her husband who has left for the front. But one day, she receives a short break-up letter. Upset and ready for anything, she decides to disguise herself as a man to join him. She heads for the front, taking the back roads to escape the vigilance of the gendarmes. In a forest, she meets a small troop of soldiers who do not suspect her true identity. She follows them, and thus changes her life, discovering over the course of days and nights what she could never have imagined, what her husband had never told her, and what her new companions will not reveal to her: France.
