The Bare Life

The Bare Life takes us on a hallucinatory journey, from the incandescent setting of a confined city, where the few survivors wander without reason, to the hospital, where the gestures of the caregivers and patients carrying the virus become rituals of life and death. Antoine d'Agata transforms these opaque spaces into a shadow theater emptied of any semblance of reality and obliterates the very surface of things, the epidermis of beings and the world, to reveal its tragic dimension.
